Getting started with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)

Josh Smith compiled a list of links to WPF resources to help you get started. Oddly enough, he didn’t mention Microsoft’s Expression Interactive Designer, you might want to take a look at that as well. Thanks for the list Josh.

I intentionally didn’t link to the Expression designers. I’m a bit of a “purist” and believe in taking the high road before the highway, so to speak. Learning how to write XAML by hand is a very important skill, but having a XAML generating tool at your disposal could make it too easy to just “skip that part” of the learning curve.

Inevitably, as someone gets into WPF he/she will learn about the Expression designers. So, it’s not like I was hiding them from anyone! 🙂

Thanks for linking to my blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it.

    Cheers,
    Josh Smith
